VA is for BIRD KIDS!

Nudge makes good flying company. Didn't talk as much as I thought she would - which, you know, is a lot. (A whole lot.)

Our first stop was in Arlington, VA. Landed under the cover of night so that no one would see 2 kids with wings dropping from the sky. A much more incognito approach. Remember: This is a reconnaissance mission, people.

To keep this whole undercover theme going, we decided to canvas the area on foot. Our first stop is too far to walk, so we're gonna try this "Metro" thing out and, hopefully, find a temporary hide out while we're down here.

P.S. Internet cafes rock.

P.P.S. Pictures soon. ...Dumb camera.

Prepare for boarding. . .

I pulled the shortest straw - so I'm flying with Fang. We're gonna take LOTS of pictures of everything to show the rest of the Flock when we get back to NYC.

At least this trip isn't as long as the flight from California. I almost fell asleep when I was flying that time!! Eek!!

Wish us luck!! ;-)

It's game time.

Well, we finally have a game plan.

After Nudge managed to walk smack into a book stack and send the whole thing crashing down, we weren't too quick to make friends with the librarian. Thankfully, we brought Angel along to "talk" her into it. [Wink, wink.] With her help, we found some road maps and even some aerial shots of the locations we're going to scout out.

The best route is probably flying south, using the New Jersey Turnpike as a guide. When we approach Baltimore, we'll fly over the ports and into Virginia. Seems simple enough. I hope it doesn't rain like last time. (See: Old blogs if you don't remember my idiocy, cause I sure haven't forgotten it.)

It may be best to split into teams to make this whole thing go faster. (And, you know, not have to stop for six bathroom breaks.)

Time to stop and get some soda. 1. Cause I'm thirsty, and 2. Cause I need to get a bunch of straws to pull to see who's flying with me.

Making Moves.

This note-under-the-door business has created enough fire under our collective butts to make a move.

This is a sign. NOW is the time to investigate all the information we've compiled over the past few months, and New York doesn't have the answers we need.
Okay, so maybe the library here does.

Off to gather some maps...

Special delivery.

Gazzy found this shoved under the door last night.

I don't know what to think of it.

Yippie! Snow!!!

I don't care what Max says, I'm going out in the snow to make Snow Angels, Totals and Nudges.

Snow is SO pretty. I'm gonna save some in a jar in the freezer. That way, I can have snow all year long!!

Oh, Gazzy.

Today's the big Superbowl. I only watch it for the commercials, really. Those football dudes don't know a good brawl until they've taken on an Eraser. I bet it would be a MUCH more interesting sporting event if some flying were involved. (Touch down, THIS!)

Gazzy just asked me if we could either eat a "super-bowl" of ice cream, or go "super-bowl"ing.

We never said he wasn't funny.
