HELP WANTED
How did I become the ring leader of this flock anyway?!?! Its not like there was a wanted sign in the window and I went in and applied for this position. If anyone else wants to take over please be my guest! I am doing the best I can. If that’s not good enough then I surrender. The sign is back up. The job is up for grabs.

You became the “Ring leader” of your Flock, because they all look up to you as the oldest, and sometimes the most intelligent. I say sometimes because of the "Shell incident", in the second book. Mostly. (By the way I think that is the most romantic part in both books, rating above even "the Kiss ". I love that part. ) Also remember that there are many girls who want Fang, judging by the "Red Headed Wonder", and the "Condiment Girl". I think Fang likes you the most. Plus, not to put you down, or any thing, but I think that you are really his only option. Who else will accept him for who he is, and not totally freak when they see, or feel, his wings? I seem to remember a certain someone, ( Fang ), telling you that Jeb got you out of the cages, but that you kept them out. Do you think that anyone else could have done the job as well?! I for one don't think so. There's no way you could leave the Flock behind, and you know it as well as I do. And Angel as leader might not be such a good idea. Also, if there had been a sign, I think you would have applied, because that is the way you are. You need excitement, the way you need Fang: you can't live without it / him. You would not be happy with a normal life after the one you have now. And if anyone has the power to save the world, it is you. So relax.

my name's Christina and I'm around your age. When I saw your post I thought I would give anything to be you, to have something to do all the time, to have people I can stick with all the time and who won't let me down. Then I thought back to the books, and rememebered, "her job isn't easy at all, I'm lucky, even though I've made some pretty stupid mistakes, and when I say stupid, I mean stupid, in huge, bold, red, blinking lights. I wonder how she does it without having nervous breakdowns like, every thirty seconds." Although I do find myself in the situation where I just wanna break down and cry but can't for two reasons: reason a.) I bottle up my emotions up too easily, it's like, scary. Reason b.) sometimes I know it's not worth it and do it on purpose. Knowing you (well, from the books, at least,) you've already snapped out of it, because this blog comment is late, really late...I just finished the second book like five minutes ago, and then the back was like "PREVIEW OF BOOK 3" and then I turned the page like my life depended on it. So for one, I wanted to say that I want there to be another book, after the third, even though I know that's beyond my control, but I just remembered seeing something from Fang at the back. Anyway, uhm, the main point of this post is to tell you if you ever need help, just e-mail me, or send me a message on myspace....I'll contact you there if this message is posted on your guys' blog...but uhm, I'm offering you the help I never really got from friends that never really understood me, and who I never really confided deeply in.

Anywho...I would suggest Angel do it, because she's awesome, and I want to hug her. However, your job requires a level of maturity that she'll probably be lacking for at least a few more years. I'd help if I could, but other people can see these posts, and I don't want people other than the Flock to know where I live. >> << But I'll let you know if you're nearby and give you whatever assistance you may need...But then again, I'm probably not much of a help, considering I'm just a normal psycho kid. xP

Max, you don't need to give your position up, you need to get help from Fang and Iggy. They are the same age and maybe you wouldn't have so much stress. PS I love the third book, and if you need some help in Texas, I'll be there.

max, i know ill probably sound like your Voice, but you were made to hold that responsibility. you can't deny why you were made. it was to save the world, to lead the flock to good, and to destroy those dang Erasers! they sound really ugly and gross. except for Ari. i kinda had a soft spot for him once i found out he was about to die. that was really sad when he died in your arms. im sorry. i agree w/ redtail994, she was right about everything in her superlong response(no offense if your reading this). Fang and Iggy(<3) and Nudge and Angel(<3<3) and the Gasman all want to help you. they need you(especially Fang ;)). i bet they could barely survive if you were gone for good. i hope you stay with your flock. luv, Hiflyer
Max, seriously do you remember what happened last time someone tried to take posittion of leader over the flock? ( Fake max cough!!) And your a natural leader plus can keep your cool even in a REALLY bad situation. So keep your head up about being the leader i mean, hey, someones gotta do it!

I think you are a great, succesful leader.
You have saved and help and joyed all members of your flock too many times to count, you've fought for them and I know you would die for them, and thats more then most anyone ever can say.
Your flock needs you Max, and although sometimes it's a pain and you wish you could just get out from under the wieght of the responsibility, your flock loves and respects you and always will.
Dont give up, live the rest of your life as a leader so when your time finally comes you can be one in six billion (thats the entire earth by the way) that can say that you where a TRUE hero and soared above everyone else.

I agree with Christina. and for one thing you say you want to give up the position but you know in your heart if someone was going to take your position you would be pissed off. For your know that you couldn't live without being a leader.

I wish I could be a leader like U all the time. If its something I truly believe in than I am willing to take charge and be the leader I always dream to be. I know I could be a leader but sometimes the idea is so imtimidating. Max U really are the one and only person to be the leader of the flock. I can only wish I was as good a leader as you. Although everyday, ever hour, and every minute, i come a little bit more and more out of my shell. Its like it just can't hlod me anymore. Like its too small. Maybe someday I'll be the leader I always intended myself to be, but until then your the only one for the job. U are the strongest, fastest, smartest girl I know.

erm.. Max? Theres always the slight problem that anyone who sees this blog and wants to be the leader wont have any WINGS so they wont FLY. Not much point in having a leader who sits at home twiddling their thumbs while the rest of you fight for your lives.
