Anyway, thought I'd answer a few questions while I'm waiting for this new creeptacular Itex pic to upload.
1. Yes, I'm allergic to gum. Sorta.
I'm what's called a "Phenylketonuric." (Big word! I hope the blog spelled that right, cause I know I can't!) I have to avoid most types of gum and stuff like diet pop because of it.
Usually there's warnings on the wrappers, but being blind, it's hard to tell unless someone gives me a heads up.
It's a genetic disorder (like I need more of those kind of problems, right?), and this is what it looks like, all scientific like:
2. Is Max blonde or brunette and why would she be caught dead in that green sweater?
Max's hair used to get blonder in the summer. When I was very little, I remember playing in a sandbox with her. I can still smell the sunscreen.
The light kept hitting the back of her newly blonde head, making me squint. Since it's winter, it gets darker - just like my hair does.
As for the sweater, if you were a winged kid on the run with limited wardrobe funding, you'd take any sweater you could find, too! (Wait. She just said that I'm wearing that same sweater now. Hey! That's not funny!)

Yeah I just realized we have something remotely in common i also have a weird gentic thing that means that my nose blocks up on contact every time i go swimming, when pollen gets up my nose and varoius other things i still don't noww all the triggers but in some of my relatives cases things have got worse. One of my great aunties losther taste because of it. One of my uncles had an operation for it but I can't seem to find any record of it outside of my family and the docters and nurses just give me a spray (which dosen't work either) and know that I can have an operation for it but that's about it. Wow what a long comment............................
Not to sound cruel here*, but freaks generally are kind of a big deal. I'd say you're lucky that most of the attention is positive, but that's only on the 'Net. IRL, you guys have it rough.
Have you ever had a phenylketonuric reaction to something because someone didn't bother to warn you? Was it bad?
I'm looking forward to the warmer weather too. You guys are lucky--your retractable wings mean that you can bundle up against the cold. The kind of stuff I have to wear makes me feel cold even in the summer sometimes. Shorts and halter tops may look nice, but when you're trying to cross the Rockies--winter or summer--you just kind of wish for warmth.

Well, if Itex is such a big threat to the world, it only makes sense that they have buildings all over the world. Right?
I mean c'mon, if they only resided in America, no one would consider them THAT MUCH of a threat. However, WORLD WIDE....any company that's world wide is a threat. It's call monopoly, or the exclusive possession or control of something. (I used that definition because it seemed to fit the Itex "mold".)

okay, i know i'm such a nerd but,
i was rereading MR2 and i noticed in chapter 34 it states that max can fly at the speed of light. this is impossible due to the fact that the speed of light in a vacuum is 300,000 kilometers per second, which is equal to about 186,000 miles per second. so, it's completely impossible for max to have flown at the speed of light.

There si some guy w/ a last name of Griffiths who wrote a book on genetics...
I have PKU as well. Contrary to what Ig said, he can have gum. Just not the gum with aspartame, or splenda. If he has those, his body can't process it and so his brain cells die off really quickly. He can develop severe forms of mental retardation if this occurs.
But don't worry Ig, i have a bad case of PKU (phe levels get monitored weekly) and i have a 97% average in 11th grade =)

uh....i just wrote to you about the numbers being a phone number, i just noticed that um that card is dated nov.28, 2006. my birthday is nov.28, and i remember working on my birthday this past year and i got a werid call on my cell phone, that day. Hey Ig! Are you guys like psychic or something, or is that me? because I read your post about unfriendly gum and then we talked about genetic disorders in honors biology. [not on the same day but real close] Your PKU-ness is because you lack an enzyme that breaks down one of those amino acids found in stuff like soda and gum. Be careful Ig! If you get too much of it in your system it'll build up in your brain and make you stupid! [scary sorta allergy] The flock wouldn't be able to survive without the essential hazardous explosions to blow up erasers if you got mental retardation from gum!
p.s. my teacher said something about PKU's and hamburgers. Do some research for saftey, kay? Brain damage is bad, y'know.

Wow, if you guys aren't famous, I don't know who is. Okay, anyway, I'm writing a fanfic about you dudes and it's sort of taking a direction I've never been in before. A direction that would be alot better if I wasn't too lazy to stalk the flock's every scrape of info avaliable.
That was random...The story is about a group of kids who look and act just like you guys except they were born and raised by parents...who aren't really theirs, but whatever. The story basically goes like this...
-Nudge's char finds the MR book, reads it, then tells every body else to read it.
-Fang reads it next, then Max.
-Max thinks it's weird that the characters are so simmilar to her and her friends and decides to leave it alone for a while(successfully creeped out)
-Fang tells you about it and nudge tells Angel and Gassy against Max's wishes(who is their older sister)
Then itex steps in, they're attacked by flyboys, they start developing their wings and abilities, blah blah blah.
So ANYWAY, this story could be alot better and more realistic if I knew a few random facts about each flock member to throw in there. The whole Phenylket...um...the gum thing is helpfull, but anything else would be apreciated.
And I'm sure there's tons of flock fans out there desperate to soak up all the MR info they cay get. Like the dudes from the Flock forum(Twilightus.net/theflock);)
