Haha! I got it! It's just like the puzzle where you have to get the goat, thw wolf, and the bale of hay across a bridge in a wheel barrow. The trick is to send some BACK over the river to get the others. It took me a few minutes, but I cracked the puzzle!
That was a good one. I haven't done one of those puzzles in so long!

I figured this out pretty quickly! We did something similar to this in math class. (only with coyotes, sheep, and grass. Why the grass had to cross the river, I'll never know why..)
The Japanese do make the hardest games. Have you ever heard of the game Go? It's just a 19X19 board and the person with the black pieces has 181 pieces and white has 180. Basically, you surround and capture the enemy- it's all about strategy and planning- like fighting!

Once i actually went through and read the directions, it took about five minutes. But i didn't realize sons and dads could go together and daughters and moms could go together so I couldn't get anywhere for about 1/2 hour. :P I guess the number one rule in logic problems is always "read the directions!!!"

I figured it out twice!!
man, I could not figure that out, and there is another japaese IQ test that I tried in my computer class. That 1 wuz quite a bit easier.
So, my opinion is that if the family is so messed up that the dad can't be alone with HIS daughters without beating them up AND the mother can't be alone with HER sons without beating them up AND the police man can't stop them from beating them up AND they're travling with a criminal they don't deserve to get across the river.
Thats just my opinion but...
