Yo,
Okay, I know our new book comes out March 17th. And I know that there's sweet movie from the guy that did Spiderman about us coming out.
(By the way, we don't know exactly when it's coming out. So for all of you guys who were asking, it's coming out...IN THE FUTURE.)
But it's cold where we are right now, cold and dreary, and snowing that chill-to-the bone wet snow. And no matter how good things can look, the fact remains that we're still, a little "unconventional." And when you're a little "unconventional," i.e. you have wings and you're a genetically engineered bird kid, sometimes you just don't have a place to sleep. Which is what happened last night. And the night before that. And what looks like will be happening, tonight.
And when you don't have anywhere to sleep, you do not have, for example, a snack cabinet, or a fridge, or a freezer, or even, I don't know, a single canned good.
So not only is it cold, but we're hungry. We're in a different place than we were in our new book. There it was cold, but we liked the people we were around.
And what's that they say about blood sugar affecting your mood? That it does? And considering how we are even canned good deprived. Let's just say I am not in the greatest mood. I don't think I've said a word out loud in six hours. Even Max is looking at me sidelong. Like I'm some kind of stray dog.
Everyone's hungry and a bit down. And I don't like it when there's nothing I can do other than wait it out.
Powerlessness, even when you're a bird kid.
Things will get better. They always do. There are downs. There are ups. There's Max's newest master plan.
The good thing though is that the new Mountain Goats album is out. And the single, well, it's what I wanted to hear today.

This latest...bad thing that's happened to you guys STINKS! You are so totally undeserving, and it's horrible the things you have to go through! Depending on where you are (aka the cold northest U.S.) please come up to Lake Ontario area! I know so many people (including myself) who'd be willing to help you out! Even to just warm you up for a bit...no one likes being cold, and you wouldn't have to stay long if you didn't want to.

The cold is brutal, I would rather pick heat than cold any day. Just remember that there is the possibility of makeing a snow cave, like an Igloo, it is suposed to be warm on the inside, but unlike an Igloo, I belive it is much easyer to make.

I am ordering tickets to your movie the second they go out for sale! Maximum Ride is unbelievably popular at my school, so it's hard to find the books available in the library here. I'll fess up, I just finished the first book two hours ago, but I did look for the second one and I have to wait literally about 12 weeks to get it! I don't think I can wait that long, maybe I'll borrow it from my BFF, who is obsessed with Max Ride.
